We’ve been through a tough weekend. No, not because of too much alcohol. It’s because of too much police violence, mostly in the United States. After the scandal surrounding George Floyd and #BlackLivesMatter, more and more people are being made aware of what is going on on the Internet! And that’s a good thing! In today’s Daily, we have some examples of the unprecedented behavior of people whose job it is to protect people.

why are cops the only profession where we just accept such a wide margin of error? no one's ever like "yeah 40% of teachers beat their wives but it's only 40%" or "sometimes your chef will poison your food & skin your entire family in front of you but it's just a few bad apples"

I’m old enough to remember two weeks ago when mobs of white people armed themselves to the teeth and stormed state capitals to cough on cops because they wanted haircuts and apparently that was fine???

When shop assistants comment on your groceries like… “oooh someone’s having a treat night” – I did not come here to be judged, Becky. Now if you don’t mind I’ll just take my tub of Ben and Jerry’s, two chocolate eclairs and scented candle and I’ll be on my way.

when covid came w warning, the US didn’t have enough masks, PPE, or tests. when the peaceful protests came, they were ready with tear gas, rubber bullets, flash guns, and tacticle gear for cops in multiple cities. it really shows where the priorities in this country are.
